Banjo

I have in my back paddock the best horse ever.
What can I say about him? He's big, he's brown, he's strong-minded and he's a delight to ride, whether you ride him every day or just bring him in once every 6 months. He's a real confidence ride.
In his young days he was trained and competed by the very talented Fiona Harper.
Now he'll go out on a ride in the hills or take me to a dressage test. He's out of a thoroughbred mare and by the rodeo horse Milanders Joe (quarter horse). Milanders Joe was also the father of John Smiths great ASH stallion Tiger Joe.

He keeps the place in order - even though he's a gelding the strength of his personality and his majestic clam temperament keep the other horses relaxed and happy.

So if anyone out there has a Milanders Joe mare or stallion that they don't want, then let me know - I would be happy to add it to my herd.

Slim
Derwent Overture , born 28 August 2001

Slim was our first foal and is greatly loved. He is the son of the very talented (now deceased) Willandon J Overseer (by Kyabra Abbeys Cattleman) and so carries the bloodlines of Abbey. Slim has grown to a 16 hh sweetie. He excels in our hill country and has plenty of stamina. He's also a keen worker of cattle when he gets the chance. We would consider selling Slim to the right home.
